A retrospective exhibition of work from the Interior and Restoration-education was held in the municipal office of Goes.
The exhibition concerned the contents of the curriculum as well as traditional painting through the ages. All students displayed their finest works. Entries from the professional competition were also on display. The presentation of the Master-painter’s degree was held, after the opening of the exhibition, at the school near the municipal office. For Verkerke, this was one of the finest days of his carreer as a painter, because it was the crowning glory of his lengthy studies.
